St. Louis won going away Sunday, meaning the receiver put up his numbers in less than one half of play. We break down the fantasy implications.
St. Louis Rams wide receiver Stedman Bailey barely factored into the team's offense through Week 11. But in the last two weeks, Bailey has been a big fantasy performer, including in Sunday's 52-0 win over the Oakland Raiders.
Bailey had five catches on six targets Sunday for 100 total yards. Those 100 yards came in the first two quarters, as the team jumped out to a big enough lead that there weren't many opportunities for passing yards in the second half. Bailey's performance comes on the heels of a seven-catch, 89-yard, one-score game in Week 12.
Fantasy impact: It's hard to imagine trusting any Rams pass-catcher, as Brian Quick, Kenny Britt and Jared Cook have all taken their turns as the team's top receiving option this season, but Bailey has now had two very impressive games in a row.
With a game at Washington next week, Bailey could make for a nice ride-the-streak option, but with the unpredictability of the team's passing game, he shouldn't be relied on past that.
