We're sure nobody will be upset by this, nobody at all.

Everyone is at least a little bit patriotic on the Fourth of July, but how patriotic is your state really? Now there's a map that shows just how much your state loves the red, white and blue.

Movoto used a series of criteria including historic landmarks, voter turnout, searches for American flags and support of veterans to rank each state's patriotism in one fascinating map. You can find the full thing here, but these are the best and worst places for loving America.

The five most patriotic states

1. South Carolina

2. Maine

It takes a heart that burns with a special patriotic fire to live where it's so unbelievably cold. Then on the other hand you get amazing and cheap lobsters until your heart's content.

3. North Carolina

Nothing is more patriotic than ensuring your athletes pass classes with terrible papers in order to play sportsball at a high level.

4. Wyoming

There's a lot of America love here. Not only are there a bunch of landmarks but over a quarter of the population like America on Facebook.

5. Virginia

Way to ensure the mid-east coast is on lock. Squeaking into the top five and ensuring the "A" in "GOACC" stands for America.

The five least patriotic states

50. California

Good job Hollywood. smh.

49. Minnesota

It's the cold of Maine without the lobsters. We get it.

48. Rhode Island

Today we learned Rhode Island has strong opinions. Strong unpatriotic opinions.

47. Vermont

You give us amazing cheese and maple syrup. We can almost forgive you on this alone. What's going on though? Do you guys need a hug?

46. Hawaii

We really hate that you feel left out. Look, we'll keep the Pro Bowl in Hawaii. Does that make things better?
