Carlo Ancelotti is taking advantage of what should be a very winnable tie by resting some of his starters.

With Real Madrid apparently not fearing Ludogrets too much, Carlo Ancelotti has made several changes to his lineup from their win against FC Basel, as he's chosen to rest a few regular starters.

Raphaël Varane and Álvarao Arbeloa start in place of Pepe and Nacho on the back line. Asier Illarramendi takes over in the defensive midfield from Toni Kroos, while James sits in favor of Isco. Probably the most surprising changes is up front where Chicharito gets a start ahead of Karim Benzema.

Everyone's favorite underdog Ludogrets Razgrad has a couple changes to the lineup that suffered a heartbreaking loss in the final minutes against Liverpool. Vladislav Stoyanov takes over in goal from Milan Borjan, as the rest of the formation shifts to a 4-4-2. Cosmin Monti, the man who filled in as a goalkeeper in their playoff win over Steaua Bucharest, starts as well.

Ludogrest Razgrad (4-4-2): Vladislav Stoyanov; Yordan Minev, Cosmin Moti, Aleksandar Aleksandrov, Júnior Calçara; Fabio Espinho, Dani Abalo, Svestoslav Dyakov, Marcelinho, Roman Bezjak

Real Madrid (4-3-3): Iker Casillas; Marcelo, Sergio Ramos, Raphaël Varane, Álvaro Arbeloa; Asier Illarramendi, Isco, Luka Modrić; Cristiano Ronaldo, Chicharito, Gareth Bale
