So many question marks. So few answers.
Entering Week 13, there are just so many questions about tight ends. So instead of an overarching theme in this week's position rankings, I'm just going to hit on a few guys about whom we have so many questions:
1. The Denver Broncos might get Julius Thomas back from his ankle injury by Sunday night, but they also might not. He missed Week 12 with the injury, and was spelled by Jacob Tamme, who contributed ... one catch for negative-1 yard. The problem with Thomas is that the Broncos play the Sunday night game this week, meaning you might not know his status until too late to do much about it. If you have Thomas, you better have an insurance policy.
2. News about Dwayne Allen is less optimistic. He also has an ankle injury, and the best the team has been able to say about him is that he's "day to day." Coby Fleener is a more inspiring replacement for Allen than Tamme was for Thomas, and the Indianapolis Colts play an earlier game, so Allen's situation is less scary in that regard.
3. Whenever Jordan Cameron is healthy, he should be a nice fantasy option. The problem is, he's now missed four games with his concussion. He's been back in practice, so things are looking up for a possible Week 13 return, but the best advice is to let his return come on the fantasy bench. He needs to prove something before you start him.
4. Washington was without Jordan Reed in Week 12 with a hamstring injury, and considering his penchant for ouchies, it's hard to imagine relying on him at any point. Just drop him.
5. I guess I'm still including Vernon Davis here because of name value, because he's been awful this season, and you can't possibly roster him. He's had drops, he hasn't gotten separation -- even his blocking looks bad.
And y'all thought I was kidding when I said this position was a wasteland. On to the Week 13 rankings:
