The Vikings running back is set to return to action. Can he make a difference in Week 13?

Minnesota Vikings running back Matt Asiata is set to return to the field after recovering from a concussion suffered in Week 11. With Jerrick McKinnon ruled out for this week due to a back injury, Asiata projects as the top back in a committee which will also feature Joe Banyard and possibly the recently acquired Ben Tate. Asiata's numbers haven't been impressive, for the most part. He has rushed 85 times for 279 yards (3.3 YPC). He has found the end zone seven times this year (once through the air). Asiata has developed a bizarre habit of scoring his rushing touchdowns three at a time. He did it twice this year and once last year as well but could only score once in eight other games.

Fantasy Impact: Asiata has a juicy matchup against the Carolina Panthers. Their defense gives up the fifth-most fantasy points to opposing running backs. Asiata should be in line for a decent healthy amount of carries, but the plodder still can be trusted as more than a uninspiring flex play.
