The Cowboys' star receiver feels Philadelphia is not the cleanest team on Earth following a humbling defeat on Thanksgiving.
The Dallas Cowboys were blown out of AT&T Stadium on Thanksgiving night, losing 33-10 to the Philadelphia Eagles. The loss was embarrassing, and it did not sit well with receiver Dez Bryant, who sees the NFC East leaders as a fairly dirty team.
Bryant was held in check throughout the day, amassing a grand total of four catches and 73 yards without a touchdown. In the postgame comments, Bryant did not hide his feelings toward the Eagles, who the Cowboys will play in two weeks at Lincoln Financial Field.
"They were being kinda cheap, that's another story," Bryant said, per Calvin Watkins of ESPN. "It is what it is, I'll get it cleaned up and I'll be fine."
Bryant mentioned taking an elbow to the hip, and also sported a busted lip, per Jon Machota of the Dallas Morning News. Without question, his comments will certainly stoke the flames for the rematch which could decide whether Dallas even makes the playoffs in the crowded NFC.
"I'm really not mad at all," Bryant said. "They beat us and I'm going to accept that, but [expletive] can't wait, but not looking past Chicago [on Dec. 4], but I cannot wait to go up there and play [Philadelphia] again, cannot wait."
Last year, the Cowboys were able to beat the Eagles in Philadelphia before losing to them in the Week 17 rematch, albeit with Kyle Orton at the helm. If they can repeat the feat, the Cowboys would still have a shot at winning the NFC East.
