Fantasy football start/sit advice, Week 13: Cam Newton

Cam Newton has been a disappointment so far this season. Can he turn it around for his fantasy owners in Week 13?

Quarterback Cam Newton was in the top five for fantasy quarterbacks in every season up until this year. If that's going to continue, he has his work cut out for himself.

Newton is just the 19th-best quarterback on the season and only has one big game on the year. He is coming off his second-best game of the season against the Atlanta Falcons with 292 passing yards and two passing TDs, but that was one of the best matchups of any team

This week, he'll get a date with the Minnesota Vikings, who rank as the 10th-toughest matchup against fantasy quarterbacks. They actually held Aaron Rodgers of the Green Bay Packers in check last week and have only allowed one 300-yard game to QBs all season.

Fantasy impact: It's tough to count Newton out, but his owners shouldn't be expecting big numbers this week. He's more of a QB10-14 this week and is a bench candidate if your backup has a good matchup.
