The Vikings tight end is set for another heavy workload. Is he worth the fantasy start in Week 13?
Minnesota Vikings tight end Kyle Rudolph played his first full game last week since recovering from his mid-season sports hernia surgery. After only playing in 14 snaps in Week 11, Rudolph played nearly the whole game last week (61 of 69 snaps), finishing with three receptions for 50 yards.
While that isn't an eye-popping line, there's no reason why Rudolph can't continue to develop some chemistry with rookie quarterback Teddy Bridgewater and settle into a groove. Offensive coordinator Norv Turner has a well-documented history of utilizing his tight ends. It shouldn't be hard for Rudolph to wrestle some targets away from the 31-year-old Greg Jennings or the wildly inconsistent Cordarrelle Patterson.
Fantasy Impact: Rudolph has a tough matchup in the Houston Texans. Their defense gives up the 12th-fewest fantasy points to opposing wide receivers. Rudolph remains an excellent bet to improve on his 3/50 line from last week. Always an efficient end zone threat, Rudolph is a borderline TE1 play.
