Should fantasy owners look to Pierre Garcon with Robert Griffin III under center?
Washington quarterback Robert Griffin III is going to make his return to the lineup two weeks early. He will face the Minnesota Vikings on Sunday after going down due to an injury in Week 1.
Washington hasn't been great on offense sans RG3, especially receiver Pierre Garcon. After leading the NFL in targets last season, he's on pace to see that number nearly cut in half this year. Garcon has caught 39 balls for 443 yards and three scores.
As for the matchup, the Vikings have been a mid-level defense against the pass, which is a mild surprise after they were one of the worst last season. Garcon is going to be a bit of a question mark, but Griffin has some trust in him and he could get it going.
Fantasy impact: There are just so many variables in this equations. He's more of a low-end WR2 this week in PPR formats. Owners in standard leagues might want to look elsewhere until he gets it going again.
