Andre Holmes has really cooled since his first start. Will he turn it around for his patient fantasy owners?
Oakland Raiders receiver Andre Holmes looked like a hot property after his fourth and fifth games with a combined 195 yards and three scores. However, he hasn't matched that production in his last five games combined. He'll try to get it going against the Kansas City Chiefs in Week 12.
Holmes was the leader in snaps among receivers against the San Diego Chargers in Week 11. That did not translate to production with just two catches for 19 yards. He also went without a catch in Week 10 against the Denver Broncos.
The Chiefs are the 11th-worst matchup for fantasy receivers, and they are also a tough test for quarterback Derek Carr. They rank third in sacks and have allowed the fewest passing yards in the NFL this season.
Fantasy impact: If you want to cut Holmes before Thursday, it makes a lot of sense. Although, he has a couple of nice matchups on the horizon. To be clear, there's no way we can suggest playing him this week.
