Justin Hunter was the Titans' top wide receiver in Week 12. We take a look at his fantasy value moving forward.
Justin Hunter is coming off a noteworthy performance on Sunday, catching four passes for 64 yards and a touchdown. His 40-yard touchdown was tipped by a defender, but Hunter ultimately recovered it and took it in for the score. He was targeted a team-high ten times for the day.
It was the second time this season that Hunter was targeted ten times. The first time it happened, Hunter also hauled in just four catches and a score. There's no telling who will be rookie quarterback Zach Mettenberger's security blanket on a weekly basis. Hunter has an opportunity to repeat his success against the Houston Texans in Week 13.
Fantasy impact: Whether you believe his 40-yard touchdown was a fluke or not, Hunter's 10 targets do create some appeal for fantasy purposes. The problem is simply that it's difficult to trust any Tennessee Titans receivers at this point. Hunter has put together a good week a handful of times this season, but those instances have been few and far between.
Between the fact that there is no real elite talent on the roster and a rookie quarterback under center, there's just no telling what will happen on a weekly basis. Hunter isn't really worth a look even in deeper leagues.
