Kyle Rudolph played 61-of-69 offensive snaps for Minnesota Sunday. We break down the fantasy implications.
Minnesota Vikings tight end Kyle Rudolph seems sufficiently recovered from his sports hernia surgery. Rudolph returned in Week 11, but played just 14 snaps and didn't catch any passes. Sunday against the Green Bay Packers, Rudolph took part in 61-of-69 offensive snaps, and caught three passes for 50 yards.
Rudolph sustained an injury during Week 3 against the New Orleans Saints and missed a large chunk of the season, returning against the Chicago Bears in Week 11. On the season, he has just 13 receptions for 146 yards and a touchdown. Obviously, those numbers are hugely disappointing given that he had some hype behind him coming into this season, but he still has time to do some damage before the season is up.
Fantasy Impact: It's been something of a soft season for tight ends, and a player like Rudolph might just warrant a late-season pickup for fantasy owners. He's the top tight end in Minnesota and should see plenty of looks going forward, especially given that he played most of Sunday's game.
