Lamar Miller has a shoulder injury and is questionable for Week 10. We break down the fantasy implications.
Miami Dolphins running back Lamar Miller is questionable for Sunday's game against the Detroit Lions. Miller sustained a shoulder injury against the San Diego Chargers in Week 9 and has been a limited participant in practice. The "questionable tag" denotes a 50 percent chance of playing, though reports about his chances have been positive throughout the week.
Miller is a big part of the Dolphins' success this season. They're 5-3 on the year and that has a lot to do with the fact that Miller is the lead back in Miami's fourth-ranked rushing attack. They put up 137.3 rushing yards per game on average, while Miller has 518 yards off of 106 carries and five touchdowns to his name this season.
Fantasy Impact: If Miller can't go, then Daniel Thomas and Damien Williams would be the next men up given that Knowshon Moreno is out for the season with a torn ACL. Thomas would likely be the lead back and he has some fantasy value, though the Lions have a very strong rush defense. Even if he were healthy, Miller would be a difficult player to recommend given the strength of Detroit's defense. But it seems likely that Miller will play.
