Not all trades at the draft are blockbusters. This trade is definitely not a blockbuster.
When word surfaced that the San Jose Sharks and Chicago Blackhawks had completed a trade imaginations started to run wild.
Patrick Sharp? Joe Thornton? A blockbuster between two Western Conference powers?
Well, it turned out to be a little bit less than that. The Sharks ended up trading back in the first round by sending the Nos. 20 and 179 picks to the Blackhawks for the Nos. 29 and 62 picks.
That Blackhawks used the pick to select Nick Schmaltz.
