Randall Cobb broke out in Week 4 and he's looking for a repeat performance on Thursday. We break down the fantasy implications.
Green Bay Packers wide receiver Randall Cobb was fairly disappointing throughout the first three weeks of the season, but he broke out in a big way against the Chicago Bears in Week 4. Cobb, the second receiver on the field after Jordy Nelson, caught seven passes for 113 yards and a pair of touchdowns in the 38-17 win over Chicago.
Cobb will be looking to continue the strong play against another NFC North rival, this time in primetime for Thursday Night Football. He'll be going up against the Minnesota Vikings and the NFL's 17th-ranked passing defense (241.0 passing yards allowed per game on average). Green Bay as a whole has had something of a lacking offense, which is surprising, but things turned around in a big way against the Bears.
Fantasy Sit/Start: The Vikings have a respectable pass defense, especially given that they've faced Tom Brady, Drew Brees and Matt Ryan thus far this season. Ryan burned them for three touchdowns in the previous game though (Ryan also had two picks, for those of you who have Aaron Rodgers), and Rodgers is certainly capable of more of the same. Cobb was always going to hit his stride and he's a smart fantasy option for Week 5.
