Davante Adams should get snaps as the WR3. Should you give him a look this week?

Green Bay Packers receiver Jarrett Boykin has been ruled out of action for Thursday's game against the Minnesota Vikings. Boykin entered the season as the third receiver on the depth chart, but he's fallen out of favor due to some drops.

Enter Davante Adams. The rookie has held steady at about 70 percent of the offensive snaps in each of the last two weeks and has been integrated more into the offense. Of course, the overwhelming majority of the passing attack is going to go to Randall Cobb and Jordy Nelson, both of whom had two touchdowns last week.

Adams is likely going to get at least four targets this week and will likely be asked to stretch the field opposite of Nelson. On the season, he has just 79 receiving yards on nine catches.

Fantasy impact: Obviously this is deep-league territory, but the Vikings will likely be focusing on keeping Nelson and Cobb in check. Nelson leads the NFL in catches and safety Harrison Smith will likely shade his coverage to him. Adams is a risky WR3 in 16-team leagues.
