The Detroit Lions have deactivated Reggie Bush for their Week 13 matchup against the Chicago Bears. We break down the fantasy implications.

The Detroit Lions have declared Reggie Bush inactive for their Thanksgiving game against the Chicago Bears. Bush got in three straight days of limited practice for the second consecutive week, but it was not enough to get him back on the field.

Bush suffered the ankle injury in Week 5, and after being in and out of the lineup in Week 7 and Week 10, has been out since. Joique Bell has been the starting running back in Bush's absence, and Theo Riddick has emerged as a pass catcher in recent weeks.

Fantasy impact: Bell is worth a start as an RB2 at home against the Bears' shaky defense. The Bears are better against the run than the pass, but if the Lions can take a lead, they could lean on the run a little later in the game. Riddick is a flier at the flex position in PPR leagues. If you are dealing with injuries or ineffectiveness in your fantasy roster, Riddick provides some upside. In his last five games, Riddick has averaged four catches for 43 yards. In Week 6 and Week 8, he had 70 receiving yards and a touchdown, so there is some value to be found.
