The Packers get a rookie quarterback at home. Should fantasy owners start their defense this week?
The Green Bay Packers aren't known for their defense, but it's been fairly solid to help its team get to a 2-2 record. It ranks sixth in the NFL in passer rating allowed and rank 17th in points allowed per game.
The highlight of their season on defense has been their fifth-ranked pass defense. Morgan Burnett has done a great job in the strong safety spot and the Packers haven't been giving up many big plays, which is saying something considering they have gone up against some big-play offenses in the Chicago Bears and Detroit Lions.
On the down side, they rank dead last in rushing yards allowed per game. They haven't had linebacker Brad Jones in much of their action this season, but he's probable to make his return this week.
Fantasy impact: If you need a defense to stream, the Pack are definitely worth a look. Teddy Bridgewater has gone against two of the worst defense in the league in the Falcons and Saints, so he'll likely get a rude awakening. Plus, the short week of prep won't help the Vikings, either. GB is a top-eight play this week.
