With Giovani Bernard sidelined this week, rookie Jeremy Hill will get the start in his place for the Bengals. We break down the fantasy implications.
Cincinnati Bengals running back Jeremy Hill will be the focal point of the running game now that Giovani Bernard has officially been ruled out.
Bernard missed the final eight minutes of Week 8's contest with the Baltimore Ravens with a hip pointer, and was held out of the ensuing week of practice. With the team facing their division rival Cleveland Browns on Thursday night, it's likely the Bengals did not want to rush Bernard back to action too soon. It's possible Hill could get the start in Week 10 as well, due to the short week.
Fantasy Spin: The Jacksonville Jaguars run defense has been stingy over the past three weeks, and the Bengals will also likely be without starting right guard Kevin Zeitler. It's not an ideal matchup for Hill, but he is in line for enough volume to make him a borderline RB1 this week. Cedric Peerman and Rex Burkhead will be in the mix as well, but they pose no threat to Hill's fantasy value. Owners can start Hill with confidence.
