Theo Riddick did nothing in the running game despite Reggie Bush being out. We take a look at his fantasy value going forward.
Detroit Lions running back Theo Riddick had a chance to step up with Reggie Bush inactive, but his Thanksgiving performance was a mixed bag. Riddick caught six passes on seven targets for 54 yards in the Lions' 34-17 win over the Chicago Bears, but he did nothing on the ground, getting zero carries.
Bush was not ready to play on a short week, so Riddick stepped into his role as the pass-catching specialist. Joique Bell ended up taking all 23 rushing carries as the Lions used their prolific passing game to pick apart the Bears' secondary. Calvin Johnson had another memorable Thanksgiving day, hauling in 11 catches for 146 yards and two touchdowns.
Fantasy impact: Riddick has some PPR appeal, but his lack of involvement in the running game makes him an option only in deeper leagues. With Bush now getting 10 days to rest his ankle, Riddick could find himself pushed down the depth chart again. He's not a must-own in re-draft leagues.
