Allen Robinson missed the entire preseason with a hamstring injury and is still limited in practices. We break down the fantasy implications.
Jacksonville Jaguars wide receiver Allen Robinson remained limited in practice on Wednesday with a hamstring injury. Although Robinson says he will "definitely" play on Sunday, it's not a guarantee he will be ready for the regular season opener against the Philadelphia Eagles.
Robinson missed nearly the entire training camp with the hamstring ailment. He did not play in any preseason games and only recently returned to practice on a limited basis last week. The second-round pick out of Penn State has since fallen behind undrafted free agent Allen Hurns on the depth chart.
Fantasy impact: The rookie has a lot of catching up to do after missing so many valuable practice reps. He still has intriguing long-term upside in dynasty leagues, but so far 2014 is looking like a wash for Robinson. Single-season players can leave him on the waiver wire unless he surprises early. Cecil Shorts III and Marqise Lee are the fantasy backs to own, although neither is an appealing start right away with Chad Henne under center.
