Calvin Johnson played through an injury on Sunday. Fantasy owners suffered as a result.
Detroit Lions wide receiver Calvin Johnson was a questionable start heading into Week 4. On Sunday morning, it was announced that Johnson would play. Johnson suited up, but was limited. He finished with two receptions for 12 yards in Sunday's win over the New York Jets. Johnson saw roughly half of the team's offensive snaps and was used as a decoy in a lot of situations. Wide receiver Golden Tate stepped up with eight receptions for 116 yards. The Lions held onto a lead for most of the game, and there was no need to push Johnson's ankle.
Fantasy impact: Every stud wide receiver has a dud week from time to time. On Sunday, fantasy owners at least had a reason for Johnson's lack of production. He simply wasn't 100 percent. Assuming Johnson rests and heals for Week 5, it should be business as usual against the Buffalo Bills, who just gave up 268 receiving yards to the Houston Texans.
