The Chicago running back still hasn't scored on the season, but he had huge yardage Sunday. We break down the fantasy implications.
After a pair of quiet games, Chicago Bears running back Matt Forte had huge yardage Sunday. Forte went for 171 total yards in the Bears' 38-17 loss to the Green Bay Packers.
Forte, who had 169 total yards in Week 1 before 112 combined in Weeks 2 and 3, had 122 rushing yards on 23 carries Sunday and 49 receiving yards on five catches.
Fantasy impact: At some point, the Bears running back is going to have to start scoring some touchdowns for his fantasy owners, but as long as he can put up yardage like Sunday and in Week 1, he'll return value on his preseason draft stock.
Despite trailing for much of Sunday's game, the Bears gave a lot of looks to rookie fourth-round pick Ka'Deem Carey, who had 14 carries for 72 yards. If he sees increased time like that going forward, the rookie could cut into Forte's value a bit. Still, Forte's a must-start every week.
