Royal now has four touchdowns through two games. We take a look at the fantasy implications.

Eddie Royal is trending again. He finished Sunday's win over the Jacksonville Jaguars with five catches for 105 yards and two touchdowns. It was Royals second game in a row with multiple touchdowns. He was targeted seven times, second behind Keenan Allen's 11 targets. Royal seems to be benefiting from the absence of running back Danny Woodhead as a short and intermediate receiver. Royal will face another soft secondary against the New York Jets in Week 5.

Fantasy impact: If this all feels a bit familiar, it should. Royal posted back-to-back multiple touchdown weeks early in the 2013 season. He was one of the hottest waiver wire grabs as a result. Royal finished the remainder of the 2013 season with just three total touchdowns. It's hard to say whether or not history will repeat itself, but fantasy owners eying Royal should be aware that we've seen this happen before and it didn't end well. Continue plugging in Royal as a WR3 if you need to, but proceed with caution.
