Kansas City Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce caught passes for 93 yards and a touchdown in the Monday Night Football blowout of the New England Patriots. Kelce was targeted nine times and looked like the next Rob Gronkowski running all over the Patriots. "Mini Gronk" is the Chiefs leading receiver with a 259 receiving yards on 24 targets and 18 receptions. Going into this game he was averaging 55.3 yards per game and had only one touchdown.
Fantasy impact: Kelce appears to be coming into his own and is blossoming in this Alex Smith led offense. The Chiefs offense looked very good against the New England Patriots defense giving up the fifth least fantasy points to tight ends. Smith loves his new tight end, who missed his rookie season due to injury. He should continue to get a lot of attention in this offense. The Chiefs will head to San Francisco to take on the 49ers in Week 4. They are giving up the seventh least fantasy points to tight ends.
