Neither Raiders back had much to offer fantasy owners Sunday. We break down the fantasy implications.
Oakland Raiders running back Maurice Jones-Drew was ostensibly healthy Sunday, but he might as well not have been for his fantasy owners. The veteran running back was barely involved in the team's 38-14 loss to the Miami Dolphins.
Jones-Drew carried the ball only two times in the game, for 1 yard. He added two catches for 2 more yards. His fellow running back, Darren McFadden, had 11 rushes for 40 yards and four catches for 32 yards.
Fantasy impact: There was no reason to expect Jones-Drew to be eased back into the action -- the injury that had kept him out was to his hand. It looks like Jones-Drew simply didn't get as much work as McFadden in the game.
Going forward, Jones-Drew is not even worth owning in fantasy, unless he starts showing much more than he has so far. McFadden, meanwhile, is at least relevant as a bye-week fill-in running back, though not much more than that.
