The two receivers both went for more than 70 yards Sunday. We break down the fantasy implications.
Oakland Raiders wide receivers James Jones and Andre Holmes were the team's most productive offensive players Sunday. That's not saying much after the team was blasted by the Miami Dolphins, 38-14.
Jones caught six passes for 83 yards in the game. Holmes had five catches for 74, plus a touchdown in the fourth quarter on a 22-yard pass from quarterback Matt McGloin, pressed into action after an injury to starter Derek Carr.
Fantasy impact: Jones continues to show he is the only Oakland Raider worthy of fantasy consideration. Sunday was the third time in four games he's put up at least eight fantasy points. Holmes, who was inactive in Week 1, equaled his season yardage total Sunday with his 74 yards. Perhaps more telling, Holmes was targeted 12 times in the game, twice as much as any other Raider.
With Rod Streater injured and Denarius Moore rapidly falling out of favor in the Oakland offense, Holmes has at least a chance of climbing into some form of relevance. He's not anyone to add yet, but keep an eye on him.
