FC Kansas City are champions of the NWSL. After seeing this clip of 25 of the best goals scored in the league this year, their title will make a lot more sense.
Lauren Holiday is a regular participant, both as a table-setter and scorer. One of those goals was the second one she set up against the Seattle Reign in the NWSL championship game. She had another straight off a corner kick. Her teammate Amy Rodriguez makes a couple of appearances as well.
But the goal of the year may belong to FCKC's Erika Tymrak. It's rated as the No. 1 goal in this compilation and it's hard to argue against it, just the way she spins around her defender and then buries her shot is absolutely exquisite.
This compilation also serves as a good reminder that some very good soccer was being played in the NWSL this year. There will sure be more to come in 2015.
