Johnson is one college football's top quarterbacks.
Head coach Dino Babers announced at his weekly press conference Wednesday that QB Matt Johnson, a returning starter who logged 3,467 yards and 25 touchdowns last year as Bowling Green won the MAC Championship, would miss the rest of the season.

Johnson is the MAC's best player, according to Hustle Belt.
The injury was apparently suffered during last week's game, though Johnson was the only quarterback to attempt a pass in the game for BGSU.
James Knapke, a redshirt freshman, is next on the depth chart for the Falcons. Bowling Green faces VMI this week, then hosts Indiana and goes to Wisconsin before starting its MAC campaign for the year.
Things are not going great for Bowling Green thus far. The Falcons opened up the season by getting walloped by Western Kentucky last week, 59-31, and now they must go the rest of the way without their offensive team captain.
