After missing Wednesday's practice with a calf injury, Michael Crabtree says he is "good to go" for Week 1. We break down the fantasy implications.
San Francisco 49ers wide receiver Michael Crabtree will return to practice on Thursday and expects to be ready for Sunday's regular season opener against the Dallas Cowboys.
Crabtree had a brief scare on Wednesday, when he missed practice with a calf injury, but he says the injury is minor and is "good to go" for Week 1. Crabtree's 2013 season was derailed by an torn Achilles suffered in spring workouts. He came back for the final month of the season, recording 19 catches for 284 yards and a touchdown in five games.
Fantasy impact: Crabtree is not totally in the clear yet -- Friday's injury report should tell us more -- but for now it only looks like a minor hiccup. Now over a year removed from his Achilles injury, Colin Kaepernick's favorite target is back in the WR2 conversation. If healthy, Crabtree is a must-start against an abysmal Cowboys defense, in a game that has shootout potential.
