Can LeSean McCoy rush for more than 1,250 yards? Can Peyton Manning throw for more than 4,900? Check out NFL season props.
The Philadelphia Eagles finished the 2013 regular season on a 7-1 SU and 5-2-1 ATS run thanks in large part to the play of running back LeSean McCoy, who was probably the first pick in your fantasy football pool.
McCoy's rushing yards are one of many individual prop bets published by sportsbooks that betting fans and fantasy gurus alike can consider heading into the 2014 season.
LeSean McCoy - Total Rushing Yards in the 2014 Regular Season
The total is set at 1,250.5 rushing yards, with the OVER and UNDER both paying -115.
This seems like a conservative number that McCoy shouldn't have difficulty surpassing if he stays healthy. McCoy has rushed for at least 1,300 yards in two of the last three seasons, and enjoyed a career year under Chip Kelly with 1,607 rushing yards last year.
Kelly's offense relies heavily on the run, and McCoy's ability to gain yards in bunches makes him look like a strong bet to rush for at least 1,251 yards.
Peyton Manning/Drew Brees - Total passing yards
Drew Brees has said that 6,000 passing yards should be achievable, so is it a great bet if the over-under is 4,900? That's the number set by Bovada.lv for both of the league's marquee passers. In the pass-happy NFL, expecting both to throw for slightly more than 300 yards per game seems pretty doable.
Philip Rivers - Total Passing Yards in the 2014 Regular Season
The total is set at 4,000 yards with the OVER paying -125 and the UNDER paying -105. This looks to be a pretty clear play on the OVER; Rivers has thrown for over 4,000 yards in five of the last six seasons including a 4,478 passing yard season last year.
Will the Seahawks win a playoff game this season?
Yes (+110) looks like a good value play over the No at -150. It is hard to imagine a scenario in which the Seahawks don't make the postseason, and you likely won't find them at +110 on the money line in that game, especially if it comes at home.
