New Orleans Saints running back Mark Ingram has been ruled out for Week 4. We break down the fantasy implications.
New Orleans Saints running back Mark Ingram (hand) has already been ruled out for the team's Week 4 matchup against the Dallas Cowboys. Ingram underwent surgery last week to have two screws inserted into his hand. Khiry Robinson will take his place.
Fantasy Impact: Robinson projects as the Saints' lead back with Travaris Cadet mixing in and Pierre Thomas assuming his role as the team's third down back. Robinson wasn't able to turn last week's golden opportunity into much but owners need to keep the faith with him. He out-touched both Thomas and Cadet by eight carries and has clearly earned the trust of the Saints' coaching staff. Despite Thomas's hurry up touchdown, Robinson is expected to be the goal line back.
Robinson has a favorable matchup against Dallas's front seven that could be with starting defensive linemen Henry Melton and Anthony Spencer. Owners shouldn't be afraid to play Robinson as an RB2 with plenty of upside.
