Tampa Bay wide receiver Vincent Jackson is listed as probable for Week 4. We break down the fantasy implications.
Tampa Bay Buccaneers wide receiver Vincent Jackson (wrist) is listed as probable and will play in the team's Week 4 matchup against the Pittsburgh Steelers. Jackson practiced in full on Thursday and Friday and is fully expected to suit up.
Fantasy Impact: Jackson will start and owners will hope that he can jump-start his maddeningly slow 2014 campaign. Through three weeks, Jackson is the owner of a 10/102/1 line. There is the very real possibility that Jackson is past his prime in his tenth season. Quarterback Josh McCown has also struggled which has led to an anemic passing attack. Regardless, Jackson still has the ability to pick it up and owners need to remain patient.
Helping his case is the fact that McCown is out and week-to-week with a thumb injury which paves the way for second year quarterback Mike Glennon to start. Glennon also has a good chance at hanging onto the starting gig. It's good news for Jackson has Glennon can't be much worse than McCown and has a higher ceiling. Jackson is a low-end WR2 against a sub-par Steelers secondary with a good chance to pick up his pace.
